International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions and relationships between countries, as well as the various actors, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and multinational corporations, that influence these interactions. It encompasses a wide range of issues, including diplomacy, conflict, trade, human rights, environmental challenges, and global governance.

IR seeks to understand how states interact with one another, the underlying principles guiding these interactions, and the impact of these relationships on global stability and security. The field combines elements from political science, economics, history, law, and sociology to analyze how power dynamics, national interests, and cultural exchanges shape international affairs.

International relations can also involve the exploration of theories that explain state behavior, such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism, each offering different perspectives on how international politics operate. Overall, it is a discipline that aims to understand the complexities of the global landscape and the ways in which countries collaborate or confront each other in various contexts.
