Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two opponents engage in a contest of strength, agility, and tactics by throwing punches at each other while wearing gloves and following specific rules. Matches typically take place in a squared ring, and they can be divided into rounds, during which competitors aim to score points by landing punches on their opponent or to achieve a knockout (KO) by incapacitating their opponent. The sport combines physical fitness, strategy, and skill, with athletes often training extensively in techniques, conditioning, and endurance. Boxing has various styles and weight classes, reflecting different levels of competition and skill. It is governed by a set of rules, known as the boxing rules, which dictate permissible techniques and behaviors during a match, including fouls and scoring criteria by judges. Boxing is not only a professional sport but also an activity pursued recreationally for fitness and self-defense.
